Mahisara looks fantastic and relaxed at Flemington this week

Talented colt Mahisara (More Than Ready / Darsini) will compete on Saturday in the Group 2, Betfair Sandown Guineas for three-year-olds over 1600m.

Mahisara has drawn well for the race in barrier 5 and will be ridden by Michael Rodd. He is up against Peter Snowden's in-form colt Galah however Mahisara is a tough colt who has a good fighting finish.

Mahisara was only beaten by the narrowest of margins at his last start in the Listed Hilton Hotels Stakes over 1400m. He sustained two runs in the straight and was only beaten by the bob of the head right on the finish line. He had to cover a lot of extra ground sitting out wide and had he drawn a good barrier, he should have convincingly won the race.

We expect the horse will atone for his last start defeat and bring home the $210,000 first prize money on offer.
