Flowerchild (Redoute's Choice x North Flower) resumes in the Listed Nivison on Saturday at Randwick

Following a good run in the Group 3 Research Stakes, Flowerchild continues her Spring Campaign with a start in the Listed Nivison Stakes at Randwick on Saturday. She has drawn shockingly in barrier 16 so we will be hoping for a bit of luck and some pace in the race, with Kiss the Rose and Trim amongst her most stiff competition.

We are on a stakes winning mission with Flowerchild this preparation and will be looking to improve her already well credentialed pedigree. Flowerchild's mother North Flower is a half-sister to the dam of hall of famer Northerly.

Following her run in The Nivison, Flowerchild will head to Melbourne for a start in Listed Northwood Plume Stakes at Caulfield on 9 October. "She is stakes-placed already but our intention is to try and win a stakes race and there is a lot of good stakes races in Melbourne for mares," Messara said.

Traveling with Flowerchild will be other carnival aspirants, Mic Mac and Albert the Fat. After a positive trial at Randwick, Mic Mac will debut in the Schillaci Stakes over 1000m at Moonee Valley on 9 October.

Stablemate Albert the Fat will also be heading down to Melbourne. Before he departs he will debut in The Shorts, a Group 2 at Randwick on the 2 October.
