Leighton Park, Arrowfield Stud

Situated on Arrowfield Stud, Leighton Park has been developed into a modern spelling, rehabilitation and education centre for Paul Messara race horses. Built in 2000 as the original Paul Messara Racing Stables, Leighton Park has all the benefits of a racing stable facility, including a 12 horse walker machine, a large round yard, 20 day yards, 2 wash bays, 30 boxes, 10 large spelling paddocks, 5 quarantine boxes and a 500 metre trotting track. Leighton Park offers state-of-the-art spelling facilities for racehorses and compliments the main training centre. The post and rail paddocks are irrigated and pasture improved. Horses are checked and hard fed twice daily.

With the health of the racehorses paramount, Leighton Park is also used to quarantine outside horses prior to their arrival to the Arrowfield Training Centre. Post surgery horses or horses that require individual rehabilitation can be stabled at Leighton Park and have the benefit of a 24 hour on-call vet. Leighton Park, being part of Arrowfield Stud, also offers 24 hour security.

Vantage Hill, Scone

Vantage Hill, ideally situated minutes from Scone Racecourse, is owned and operated by international equestrian riders Blair and Nikki Richardson. With their exacting standards and extensive equestrian experience, Vantage Hill is supremely suited to the pre-training and education of thoroughbreds.

Blair applies the same rigorous principles to thoroughbreds destined to race as he does to his own performance horses. Blair believes they should be moving forward, accepting the bit confidently, balanced and relaxed in a range of environments and happily working alone or in company. Vantage Hill offers a variety of areas for horse education, including spacious areas to exercise on the flat, undulating land and an all-weather Capricorn Soiltex arena, a surface preferred at leading equestrian establishments globally. For horses being broken-in, once the horse is balanced and happy to work in company with other horses, their barrier education is commenced. Thoroughbreds educated by the Richardson Team are benefited by the wealth of Blair and Nikki's equestrian knowledge who take pride in the end product.

Kolora Lodge, Qld

Kolora Lodge is a 60 acre undulating riverfront property based at Waterford in Queensland. The property is owned and run by international equestrian riders Michelle Lang-McMahon and Peter McMahon. It consists of 50 individual grassed post and rail ½ acre day yards with shelters, 10 pasture improved irrigated shared spelling paddocks with post and rail fencing, and a stable complex of 60 walk-in walk-out stables. Kolora Stud’s spelling service includes 2 hard feeds daily, summer and winter rugging, and a vet on call 24 / 7.

Oak Ridge and Wild Oaks – NSW

Oak Ridge and Wild Oaks is a premium agistment and pre-training facility situated in the Camden Valley at The Oaks, a short one hour drive south west of Sydney. The properties are managed by Roy Davis and Tony Hall who have over 30 years experience in the thoroughbred industry. The facilities on this 186 acre property are first class, with generous size paddocks, horse-safe fencing and individualised horse feeding. The Arrowfield Bloodstock Manager, Jon Freyer, visits the horses each week to assess their spelling condition and advise Paul Messara of their condition.
