The purpose of this website is to give owners the information they require for ownership of a racehorse. At Paul Messara Racing we believe that owning a racehorse should be an experience and depending on your requirements, there are many ways of owning a racehorse.

You may choose to be part of a syndicate, partnership or race as a sole entity. Regardless, your involvement should be the same. Racing is regulated in all areas to ensure an accurate database of information for every horse obtained. Below are a number of forms that are required for horse ownership in NSW. You are required to complete and sign the relevant form that relates to your situation.

Registering a racehorse

A) Ordinary Syndicate Registration Form $250 NSW Racing Registration - Application to Register an Ordinary Syndicate

B) Multiple (Company/Stud/Firm) Syndicate Registration Form $250 NSW Racing Registration - Application to Register a Company, Stud or Firm as a Syndicate

Register a Syndicate - Alteration

C) Alteration to an existing Syndicate $15 NSW Racing Registration - Application to add or remove a member from a Syndicate

Authority to sign form

Authorise the person named to sign on your behalf document(s) relating to a racehorse in which you have an interest/shareholding. It is important that all details are filled out correctly.

Registration of owner’s racing colours for jockeys to wear on race and barrier trial day.

Transfer of a racehorse

This form is used when a change of ownership occurs. Criteria • Enter Horse Name and Date of Transfer • All outgoing owners must sign out in their designated position. • Enter all new and existing owners (including all amendments)
