The result is a facility dedicated to the thoroughbred athlete, a perfect combination of luxury and practicality where your horse's needs are paramount.
The Arrowfield Training Centre has been in operation since July 2007. It was designed to optimise the performance of thoroughbred racehorses and complement the breeding operation of Arrowfield Stud.
Based in horse country Scone, the Arrowfield Training Centre stands as an example of our dedication to the thoroughbred.
Our facilities include:
- 50 large rubber-lined boxes
- Warm-up trotting track
- 2000m visco-ride synthetic track and 1400m straight track with electronic timing
- Equine aqua-exerciser
- 2 horse walkers
- 2 sand-rolls
- 2 treadmills
- 25 day yards
- 75m straight equine swimming pool
- Electronic surveillance system
- 2 horse floats (6-horse)
Services
The Arrowfield Training Centre aims to provide services to meet the individual needs of every horse. The centre has been been designed to create the ultimate training environment, a facility dedicated to the thoroughbred athlete. With a limit of 50 horses in training, each has its own training program.
Outside yards provide an opportunity for horses to have a break from stable life and give them an option if they don't enjoy being permanently stabled. The yards also allow us to give horses a quick freshen-up between races without having to send them off the property.
Horse walkers, equine swimming pool, treadmills and equine aqua-exerciser have all been designed to complement traditional training methods. These give the ability to tailor a training program to suit the individual's physical requirements whether it be preventative, strengthening or rehabilitation.
Randwick Stables
We have stables at Randwick Racecourse to give horses the opportunity to have the best of both worlds. Whether racing or in training, our Randwick stables provide a base while in Sydney. With permanent staff, this is a familiar environment for horses where the same attention to detail is applied. We invite owners to visit their horse while in Sydney, as for many it is closer to home than Scone.
